EEC-IV Inputs Resistance Values

NOTE: Component values are typical. Measurements taken in the field may vary slightly. Pin Nos. are the Breakout box pin numbers and may vary from vehicle to vehicle. Refer to application pin usage charts. All listed components are not on all vehicles. Engine should be at normal operating temperature.

(1) Switch closed when pedal is down & open when up.
(2) TFI-IV ignition systems only.
(3) Coolant temperature must be 180-240°F (82-116°C).
(4) Knock sensor output voltage is a variable 300 mV or greater signal. Background noise is not part of sensor output.
(5) Refer to chart in CIRCUIT TEST DF.
(6) Refer to chart in CIRCUIT TEST DC.
(7) Switch is OPEN in gear positions. CLOSED in "N" (Neutral) and "P" (Park).
(8) High power steering pressure will cause switch to open and signal ECA to raise idle RPM.
(9) Speed sensor output will be zero when vehicle is stationary.
