Master Switch (Sable & Taurus)
- Remove switch from vehicle. Test with a self-powered test light or ohmmeter. With switch in "NEUTRAL" position, there should be continuity between terminals No. 1 through 9, 10 and 11. See Figure
.
- With all switches pushed upward (to close windows), there should be continuity between terminals No. 1, 3, 5, 7, 10, and 11, and terminals No. 2, 4, 6, 8 and 9. With all switches pushed downward (to open all windows), there should be continuity between terminals No. 1, 3, 5, 7, and 9 and terminals No. 2, 4, 6, 8, 10 and 11.
- With lockout depressed, there should be no continuity between terminal No. 11 and any terminal. If switch fails any of these tests, replace master switch.
