Starter Cranking Circuit Tests: Notes
Before performing tests, remove and ground coil secondary wire (disconnect at distributor). Place transmission in neutral or park and apply parking brake. Be sure battery is fully charged. When making voltmeter connections, be sure to connect leads to battery posts or threaded terminals and not just to cable ends. See Fig 1for all cranking circuit tests .
