Bleeding Sequence

Before bleeding system, exhaust all vacuum from power unit by depressing brake pedal several times. Bleed master cylinder if equipped with bleed screws, then bleed wheel cylinders or calipers in following sequence:

Ford Motor Co Longest Line First
General Motors  
  Buick, Oldsmobile (1)RR, LR, RF, LF
  Pontiac (Exc. Astre) (1)RR, LR, RF, LF
  Astre Nearest to Master Cyl. First
  Cadillac RR, LR, RF, LF
  Chevrolet  
  Vega, Monza RR, LR, RF, LF
  All Other Models Nearest to Master Cyl. First
(1) If pressure bleeding, bleed both rear brakes simultaneously, then bleed front brakes simultaneously.
