1968 MERCURY 390", 428" ENGINES EXHAUST MANIFOLD GASKET HEAT SHIELD NOTE: Some early production models may have two exhaust manifold gasket heat shields installed on left side. Be sure to install same number as originally removed.
IDLE SPEED ADJUSTMENT CAUTION: Procedures and specifications for idle speed adjustment must be followed exactly as outlined. See " Hot (Slow) Idle RPM " under Tune-Up.
