Distributor Vacuum Thermal Control Valve

Some cars with Thermactor and Air Conditioning have thermal sensing valve in heater water system to control source of distributor vacuum pick-up (from either intake manifold or carburetor vacuum port). This system, under hot idle conditions, increases distributor advance thereby increasing engine speed and reducing engine operating temperature.
