Software/Ecu Logging Guidelines: Objectives

This section provides guidelines for the password structure, as well as recommends an audit trail to be maintained where application software logins are used. It is understood that the use of ECU passwords, both customer and OEM, will depend on the design of the OEM/Manufacturer. This section only addresses how the application software will provide the customer password, if applicable, to the ECU.
