Remove/Install Spring Bracket Of Rear Axle Spring - Ar61.25-D-6155TSC

Model 907.6/7 with code IR2 (Wheelbase 3250 mm)

  Risk of death  when working on component parts and systems with U >= 30 V alternating voltage (AC) or U >= 60 V direct voltage (DC) Do not touch damaged or defective live component parts and lines or non-insulated electrical connections and lines

REMOVING Remove     
1 Remove all detachable parts in area of repair point.    
2 Cover detachable parts that remain in vehicle with welding protection blankets. IMPORTANTCommercially available devices/tools  Welding protection blanket  
3 Remove the lower rear side wall paneling behind the wheel arch.   AR63.10-D-5667-01TS

4 Remove the outer lower section of the corner pillar paneling.   AR64.30-D-5705-05TS

5 Remove the D-pillar reinforcement behind the lower corner pillar paneling. AR64.30-D-0003-01TS

6 Remove the spring bracket (1) of the rear axle spring.   AR61.25-D-6155-01TSC

7 Prepare the spring bracket (1) of the rear axle spring for installation.   AR61.25-D-6155-02TSC

8 Prepare the D-pillar reinforcement behind the lower corner pillar paneling for installation.   AR64.30-D-0003-02TS

9 Prepare the lower section of the outer corner pillar paneling for installation.   AR64.30-D-5705-06TS

10 Prepare the lower rear side wall paneling behind the wheel arch for installation.   AR63.10-D-5667-02TS

INSTALLING Install     
11 Install and weld in the spring bracket (1) of the rear axle spring.   AR61.25-D-6155-03TSC

12 Install and weld in the D-pillar reinforcement behind the lower corner pillar paneling.   AR64.30-D-0003-03TS

14 Install and weld in the lower rear side wall paneling behind the wheel arch.   AR63.10-D-5667-03TS

15 Clean weld joints and sheet metal flanges with rotary wire brush. IMPORTANTCommercially available devices/tools  Rotary wire brush  
16 Remove welding protection blankets. IMPORTANTCommercially available devices/tools  Welding protection blanket  
17 Clean repair area. IMPORTANTCommercially available devices/tools  Wet and dry vacuum cleaner  
  Risk of explosion  caused by paint vapors igniting. Risk of poisoning  caused by inhaling paint vapors. No smoking! No open fire! Use respiratory protection, protective clothing, gloves, safety glasses and protective skin cream. Ensure that the area is well ventilated. AS98.00-Z-0002-01A
18 Prime repair area with a primer filler. Notes on paintwork repairs   AH98.00-P-9408-02A
    IMPORTANT Use only primer filler approved by Daimler AG: http://xentryportal.mercedes-benz.com   
19 Seal seam after repair.   AR97.10-D-4000TS
    IMPORTANT Supplement standard seals with sealant.  
  Risk of explosion  caused by paint vapors igniting. Risk of poisoning  caused by inhaling paint vapors. No smoking! No open fire! Use respiratory protection, protective clothing, gloves, safety glasses and protective skin cream. Ensure that the area is well ventilated. AS98.00-Z-0002-01A
20 Paint repair area and adjacent surfaces. Notes on paintwork repairs   AH98.00-P-9408-02A

21 Supplement cavity preservation   AR97.20-D-1500TS
22 Install all detachable parts in area of repair point.
