Operation step 2

	Risk of injury  to skin and eyes suffering scalding from contact with hot coolantspray. Risk of poisoning  from swallowing coolant.	Do not open cooling system unless coolant temperature is below 90 °C. Open cap slowly and release the overpressure. Do not pour coolant into beverage containers. 	Remove/install
1	Remove air filter housing.		AR09.10-D-1150TS
2	Remove cover (1).	Clip: Remove/install fan Depiction of operation steps 2, 4, 6, 7, 9, 10. To do this, unclip cover (1) from fan shroud (2).	GB20.40-D-0000-01A
3	Drain off coolant		AR20.00-D-1142TSR
4	Remove coolant hose (11) from cooler (6).	Plug openings. Collect coolant which flows out. : Check spring bracket clamp. Commercially available devices/tools  Collecting pan Hose clamp pliers with wire cable Set of protective covers Depending on the findings, ↓ Replace spring bracket clamp.	Fig 2
5	Unclip coolant hose (3) on fan shroud (2).	Position coolant hose (3) outside of working area.
6	Unfasten locks (5).
7	Remove fan shroud (2).	To do this, remove fan shroud (2) upward out of the brackets (4) and place to the rear.
8	Cover cooler (6) in area of fan (7) with a protective plate.

9	Remove screw (8). Note on calculation of tightening torque when using insertion or socket tools with various effective lengths		AH00.00-P-0015-01CW
		To do this, place counterholder on bel pulley of the coolant pump. Screw, fan to coolant pump	*BA20.40-N-1001-01TS

10	Remove fan (7) with fan shroud (2) in upward direction.
11	Install in the reverse order.
	Check
	Risk of accident  from vehicle starting off by itself when engine running. Risk of injury  (bruises and burns) resulting from working on the engine while it is being started or when it is running.	Secure vehicle to prevent it from starting off by itself. Wear closed and snug-fitting work clothes. Do not touch hot or rotating parts.	AS00.00-Z-0005-01A
12	Perform an engine test run and check engine for leaks in area of coolant hose (11).	Visual inspection only.
