	Remove/install
1	Remove high-pressure line to rail.		AR07.16-D-1004TSR
2	Remove mounting plate (2).	To do this, remove screws/bolts (3).
		Bolt, mounting plate for charge air line to engine carrier	*BA09.41-N-1008-01TSR
3	Remove fuel lines (5, 6) and leak oil line from fuel high-pressure pump (1).	Seal connections of the fuel high-pressure pump (1), fuel lines (5, 6), and leak oil line with suitable stop plugs. Fuel system can otherwise be damaged. To do this, open clamps and catch escaping fuel. : Check clamps and fuel lines (5, 6) for damage.

		Record plug In the case of damage, ↓ Replace damaged clamps and fuel lines (5, 6)	Fig 2
4	Detach electrical connector (7).
5	Remove fuel high-pressure pump (1).	To do so, remove screws (8). WIS Service Media wsm://04 201800_58
		: Clean sealing surfaces. Replace sealing ring and grease slightly.

		Bolt, fuel system high pressure pump to crankcase	*BA07.16-N-1009-03TS
	Check
6	Check driver.	If the fuel high-pressure pump (1) is not replaced. To do this, remove the driver. : Make sure that drive plate is seated correctly. If the driver is damaged, ↓ Replace driver.
7	Check coupling flange at fuel high-pressure pump (1).	If fuel high-pressure pump (1) is not replaced. To do this, remove coupling flange.
		Nut, coupling flange to fuel high-pressure pump	*BA07.16-N-1008-03TS
		Counterholder If the coupling flange is damaged, ↓ Replace coupling flange, nut and driver.	Fig 1
8	Install in the reverse order
	Check
	Risk of accident from vehicle starting off by itself when engine running. Risk of injury (bruises and burns) resulting from working on the engine while it is being started or when it is running.	Secure vehicle to prevent it from starting off by itself. Wear closed and snug-fitting work clothes. Do not touch hot or rotating parts.	AS00.00-Z-0005-01A
9	Check for leaktightness when engine is running.	Visual inspection only.
