  Risk of death  caused by vehicle slipping or toppling off of the lifting platform. Align vehicle between vehicle lift columns and position the four support plates at the vehicle lift support points specified by the vehicle manufacturer. AS00.00-Z-0010-01A
REMOVINGINSTALLING Remove/install     
1 Switch off ignition and store transmitter key outside of transmission range (min. 2 m)    
2 Raise vehicle   AR00.60-D-1000-04TS
  Special instructions for lifting and supporting vehicle   AH00.60-N-0100-01TS
3 Remove rear protective strips (3)   AR88.80-D-1040TS 
4 Remove expansion rivet (4) INSTALLATION IMPORTANT Replace expansion rivets (4).  
5 Remove expansion rivets (5) INSTALLATION IMPORTANT Check expansion rivets (5) for damage.
Depending on findings

Replace damaged expansion rivets (5).
 
6 Remove bumper corner upper sections (2) IMPORTANT For this purpose, unclip bumper corner upper sections (2) at side wall.
INSTALLATION IMPORTANT Check retaining clips for damage.
SPECIAL TOOL Long wedge
Depending on findings

Replace damaged retaining clips.

7.1 Remove expansion rivets (7) Model 907.6/7 except code W73 (Rear-end door step)
INSTALLATION IMPORTANT Check expansion rivets (7) for damage.
Depending on findings

Replace damaged expansion rivets (7).
 
7.2 Remove expansion rivets (9) Model 907.6/7 with code W73 (Rear-end door step) except code Q22 (Trailer coupling, non-removable ball head)
INSTALLATION IMPORTANT Check expansion rivets (9) for damage.
Depending on findings

Replace damaged expansion rivets (9).
 
7.3 Remove expansion rivets (9, 10) Model 907.6/7 with code Q22 (Trailer coupling, non-removable ball head) with code W73 (Rear-end door step)
INSTALLATION IMPORTANT Check expansion rivets (9, 10) for damage.
Depending on findings

Replace damaged expansion rivets (9, 10).
 
8 Remove screws/bolts (11) Model 907.6/7 with code Q22 (Trailer coupling, non-removable ball head) with code W73 (Rear-end door step)
IMPORTANT For this purpose, counterhold nuts.
 
9 Remove bumper (1) IMPORTANT Remove screws (6) for this.
IMPORTANT Helper required.
TORQUE SPECIFICATION Screw, rear bumper to body
*BA88.20-N-1001-01TS 
10 Install in the reverse order
