When closing the door, make sure that the rotary tumbler is open.
Otherwise the door lock can be damaged.
The basic setting for the side window is to be performed when the front door is open and the rotary tumbler closed.
Check
- Position door lining on left and right front door and connect electrical connectors to front door control unit switch group.
- Switch on ignition.
- Move side window to upper end position with front door open and rotary tumbler closed.
- Switch off ignition.
- Disconnect electrical connectors on front door control unit switch group and remove door lining.
- Measure distance (a) between edge of front door and side window using suitable rectangular aids (e.g. credit card) with vernier caliper as shown.
If measuring results deviate

Adjust side window.
Adjust
- Unclip cover (6).
- Unclip cover (3).
- Position door lining on left and right front door and connect electrical connectors to front door control unit switch group.
- Switch on ignition.
- Move side window down until bolts (5) are accessible.
- Switch off ignition.
- Disconnect electrical connectors on front door control unit switch group and remove door lining.
- Loosen bolts (5).
- Move side window out of power window until dimension (a) is set.
- Fully tighten bolts (5)
- Position door lining on left and right front door and connect electrical connectors to front door control unit switch group.
- Switch on ignition.
- Move side window to upper end position.
- Switch off ignition.
- Disconnect electrical connectors on front door control unit switch group and remove door lining.
- Measure dimension (a).
If dimension (a) is correct.

Continue with operation step 23
If dimension (a) is not correct.
↓
Adjust side window again.
- Clip in cover (3).
- Clip in cover (6).
