	Remove/install
1	Remove upper engine cover.
			AP01.10-P-2405-01C
		Only install upper engine cover after the leak test.
2.1	Remove top part of the charge air pipe from the charge air cooler to the charge-air distributor.	Engine 260 in model 118, 177, 247 except code M016 (Uprated engine)

		Do not subject purge line (8) to tensile loads, crush or kink it. Purge line (8) will otherwise be damaged. Replace sealing ring between charge air pipe and throttle valve actuator (M16/6).
2.2	Remove charge air cooler.	Engine 260 in model 118, 177, 247 with code M016 (Uprated engine)

3	Release, disconnect electrical connector (7) at throttle valve actuator (M16/6) and unclip at throttle valve actuator (M16/6).
4	Remove bolts (17) and remove throttle valve actuator (M16/6).	Replace seal.
		Bolt, throttle valve actuator to charge air distributor	*BA30.20-P-1002-01C
5	Seal openings with clean, lint-free rags.
6	Install in the reverse order.
	Check
7	Read out and delete fault memory.

	Risk of accident  from vehicle starting off by itself when engine running. Risk of injury  (bruises and burns) resulting from working on the engine while it is being started or when it is running.	Secure vehicle to prevent it from starting off by itself. Wear closed and snug-fitting work clothes. Do not touch hot or rotating parts.	AS00.00-Z-0005-01A
8	Perform engine test run. While doing so, check engine for proper operation and leak tightness
9	Install upper engine cover.
