	Risk of accident  from vehicle starting off by itself when engine running. Risk of injury  (bruises and burns) resulting from working on the engine while it is being started or when it is running. 1. Connect diagnostic device, start XENTRY, and shut off the fuel pump.

   To do this, select the following menu items:

   → ME-SFI control unit

   → Actuation

   → Actuate and shut off fuel pump.

2. Connect exhaust gas hose.
3. Start engine, operate at idle speed, and wait until the engine shuts off by itself.

   Operate engine only at idle speed and do not increase engine speed by accelerating under any circumstances.

   The fuel system may be damaged otherwise.

4. Disconnect exhaust gas hose.
5. Disconnect diagnostic unit.
