| Risk of explosion
caused by fuel igniting. Risk of injury to skin and eyes caused by fuel spraying out at high pressure |
Keep all ignition sources out of hazard area. Do not carry out any work on system when it is pressurized. |

| Risk of explosion caused by fuel igniting, risk of poisoning caused by inhaling and swallowing fuel as well as risk of injury to eyes and skin caused by contact with fuel. | No fires, sparks, open flames or smoking. Pour fuels into suitable and appropriately marked containers only. Wear protective clothing when handling fuel. |

| Topical note | Notes on avoiding damage through contamination and foreign objects | AH00.00-P-5000-01A |
Ensure absolute cleanliness when working on the high-pressure fuel circuit. Thoroughly clean the area around the connecting point before opening the high-pressure fuel circuit. Use only lint-free cleaning cloths
Even the smallest dirt particles in the hydraulic components will impair the function of the high-pressure fuel circuit and cause it to fail.
During reduction of the fuel pressure always wear oil-resistant, fiber-free gloves which are lined with rubber.
- Cover connecting point for the high-pressure line to be opened using suitable rags.
- Carefully loosen union nut somewhat for the high-pressure line to be opened.
No fuel should flow over the engine.
Otherwise damage will occur.
The pressure in the fuel high-pressure circuit is increased for an engine at operating temperature. Thus causes a larger fuel quantity to leak out.
Collect exuded fuel using a suitable absorbent rag.
