CAUTION Risk of injury  caused by scraping or cutting body parts on sharp vehicle parts Always wear protective gloves when working on or near sharp and non-deburred vehicle parts.
Deburr repair panels.

REMOVINGINSTALLING Remove/install     
1 Remove corresponding bellows (2).   AR46.40-P-9998MFA 
2 Release tie rod (1) from toothed rack (3) using open-end wrench (02) and remove tie rod (1).    
  Note on calculation of tightening torque when using insertion or socket tools with various effective lengths   AH00.00-P-0015-01CW
    TORQUE SPECIFICATION Inner tie rod to rack-and-pinion steering *BA46.40-P-1003-01Q 
    SPECIAL TOOL Open-end wrench Fig 1
3 Install in the reverse order.
