2 Unscrew collar nut (2) from valve body (3) and remove
3 Remove tire pressure sensor (A69/1 to A69/4) with valve body (3) from disk wheel
4 Remove seal (5) and support ring (6) from valve body (3)
5 Remove valve body (3) of tire pressure sensor (A69/1 to A69/4) When reusing the tire pressure sensor (A69/1 to A69/4).
CLEANING Clean
6 Clean tire pressure sensor (A69/1 to A69/4) When reusing the tire pressure sensor (A69/1 to A69/4).
IMPORTANT Only remove dirt with a clean, lint-free cloth. Do not use any compressed air, solvent and cleaner.
IMPORTANT The tire pressure sensor (A69/1 to A69/4) can also be reused after using TIREFIT tire sealant.

7 Clean the disk wheel in the area of the valve bore
INSPECT Check
8 Carry out visual check of tire pressure sensor (A69/1 to A69/4) IMPORTANT Replace tire pressure sensor (A69/1 to A69/4) if damage is apparent.
9 Check disk wheel for damage in the area of the valve bore
INSTALLING Install
10 Detach label (4) with identification number (I) of tire pressure sensor (A69/1 to A69/4) and affix to maintenance booklet When replacing the tire pressure sensor (A69/1 to A69/4).
11 Replace valve body (3) and valve element (7) When reusing the tire pressure sensor (A69/1 to A69/4).
IMPORTANT Insert square of valve body (3) into guide at tire pressure sensor (A69/1 to A69/4) so that this is fixed into position.
IMPORTANT Observe transmission frequency (F) of tire pressure sensor (A69/1 to A69/4):
  • Vehicles with 315 MHz
  • Vehicles with 433 MHz

12 Mount support ring (6) and seal (5) on valve body IMPORTANT The cone on the support ring (6) must sit correctly in the contour of the tire pressure sensor (A69/1 to A69/4).
13 Insert valve body (3) with free-moving tire pressure sensor (A69/1 to A69/4) from inside to outside into valve bore of disk wheel
14 Tighten collar nut (2) on valve body (3) IMPORTANT Take into account correct collar nut design for steel wheels or light alloy wheels.
IMPORTANT When tightening the collar nut (2), lightly press tire pressure sensor (A69/1 to A69/4) into drop center and in direction of valve bore of disk wheel.
