Location 

The lower multifunction steering wheel button group electric controller unit is located at the bottom of the multifunction steering wheel.

Task 

The lower multifunction steering wheel button group electric controller unit is used to exchange data between the lower multifunction steering wheel button group 1 (S163/3) or the lower multifunction steering wheel button group 2 (S163/4) and the drive program control unit (N145).

The lower multifunction steering wheel button group electric controller unit is connected over the steering wheel CAN (CAN LR) to the vehicle's network architecture.

The electric controller unit for the lower multifunction steering wheel button group is responsible for the following individual tasks:
