	Remove/install
1.1	Remove alternator (8)	Engine 176 in model 463 up to model year 2019 Engine 177 in model 205

1.2	Remove lower engine compartment paneling	Engine 178 in model 190 (except 190.381)
			AR61.20-P-1105RG
2	Detach battery ground line	Engine 178 in model 190 (except 190.381)
			AR54.10-P-0003RG
3	Disconnect electrical connection at alternator (8)	Engine 178 in model 190 (except 190.381)
4	Detach positive line at alternator (8)	Engine 178 in model 190 (except 190.381)
			AR15.40-P-5032-01MNA
		Nut, positive line to alternator	*BA15.40-P-1003-01T
5	Unscrew nuts (1) and remove cover (2)	Nut, cover to alternator	*BA15.40-P-1005-01T
6	Remove screws/bolts (3) and remove control (4)	The carbon brushes (5) of the new control (4) are locked by means of the protective cap (6) upon delivery. Following assembly of the control (4), the carbon brushes (5) must be audibly applied to the rotor (7) of the alternator (8) by pressing on the protective cap (6).

7	Install in the reverse order
