- Remove covers (3).
To do this, remove electrical wiring harness from covers (3) and unclip covers (3) with the
clip remover.
- Remove screws/bolts (5)
.
- Remove hood catch lower part (4).
To do this, unhook hood cable (6).
- Unhook hood cable (6) from upper front crossmember with radiator unit (1) and position outside the working area.
- Remove hoses (11) at NOx reducing agent tank.
Immediately plug openings.
Otherwise the exhaust gas aftertreatment system can be contaminated, which can lead to malfunctions of the exhaust gas aftertreatment system.
To seal,
use a set of stop plugs.
- Disconnect electrical connector (8) from coolant expansion reservoir (7).
- Engine 642, 651 in model 907 with code HH4 (THERMOTRONIC automatic climate control) or code HH9 (Semi-automatically controlled air conditioning, TEMPMATIC)
Disconnect electrical connector (15).
- Disconnect horn electrical connector (17).
- Engine 642, 651 in model 907 with code HH4 (THERMOTRONIC automatic climate control) or code HH9 (Semi-automatically controlled air conditioning, TEMPMATIC)
Disconnect electrical connector (18) from condenser fan unit (19).
- Remove electrical wiring harness from the upper front crossmember with radiator unit (1) (arrows).
Position electrical wiring harness outside the working area.
- Remove screws (21, 22, 23)
.
- Remove upper front crossmember with radiator unit (1).
Aid of helper required.
Ensure correct seating of the seal on the upper front crossmember with radiator unit (1).
- Install in the reverse order.
