Perform SCN Coding in Audio 20 Control Module and Couple with HERMES Control Module
Daimler AG ('DAG'), the manufacturer of Mercedes-Benz vehicles, has determined that on certain C-Class and GLC-Class (205, 253 platform) vehicles, the control module SCN coding for the Audio 20 system may be incorrectly configured. As a result, the link to the control module may malfunction resulting connectivity errors. An authorized Mercedes-Benz dealer will perform SCN coding of the control module for the Audio 20 system.
Prior to performing this Service Campaign:
- Please check VMI to determine if the vehicle is involved in the Campaign and if it has been previously repaired.
- Please review the entire Service Campaign bulletin and follow the repair procedure exactly as described.
Approximately 1,702 vehicles are affected.
PROCEDURE
- Use DAS/Xentry 05-06/17 with all associated patches or higher.
- Follow the steps exactly as described in DAS/Xentry.
- Connect battery charger (battery voltage >12.5V).
- Ensure all electrical consumers are switched-off.

- Perform SCN coding in Audio 20

Control units view → Information and communication → Audio or COMAND → Adaptations → Control unit update → SCN coding".
Follow on screen instructions.
- Perform coupling (pairing) of HERMES control unit and Audio 20 control unit:
Control units view → Information and communication → Control unit for telematics services → Adaptations → Teach-in processes → Coupling (pairing) of HERMES control unit and 'Audio or COMAND' control unit.
Follow on screen instructions.
