	Remove/install
1	Remove front seat	MODEL 117, 156, 176	AR91.10-P-1000NKA
		MODEL 242, 246	AR91.10-P-1000NKB
2	Remove paneling on front seat frame	MODEL 117, 156, 176, 242 MODEL 246 without CODE U57 (EASY-VARIO-PLUS-system)	AR91.10-P-1200NKB
		MODEL 246 with CODE U57 (EASY-VARIO-PLUS-system) Front passenger seat only	AR91.10-P-1200NKC
3	Disconnect electrical connectors (3) at driver seat control unit (N32/1)	MODEL 117, 156, 176, 242, 246 with CODE 275 (Memory package (driver seat, mirrors)) MODEL 117, 156, 176, 242, 246 with CODE 873 (Heated left and right front seats) When removing front seat backrest (1) at driver seat.
4	Disconnect electrical connectors (3) at front passenger seat control unit (N32/2)	MODEL 117, 156, 176, 242, 246 with CODE 242 (Electrically adjustable front passenger seat with memory) MODEL 117, 156, 176, 242, 246 with CODE 275 (Memory package (driver seat, mirrors)) with CODE 873 (Heated left and right front seats) When removing front seat backrest (1) at front passenger seat.
5	Unclip driver seat connector block (X55/3) or front passenger seat connector block (X55/4) from bracket
6	Unclip sidebag electrical connector (4) from driver seat connector block (X55/3) or front passenger seat connector block (X55/4) using suitable tool	Carefully unclip sidebag electrical connector (4). There is a risk of breakage otherwise.
7	Unclip seat heater electrical connector (5) and disconnect	MODEL 117, 156, 176, 242, 246 with CODE 873 (Heated left and right front seats) The location of the seat heater electrical connector (5) differs depending on the equipment installed.
8	Unclip electrical wiring harness (2) at seat frame (7) (arrows), expose and remove	Ensure that electrical wiring harness (2) is routed and secured without chafing. Damage can otherwise occur. The number of branch-off lines varies depending on the equipment installed.
9	Remove screws/bolts (6) on backrest fitting	Backrest to seat frame	*BA91.10-P-1002-01K
10	Remove front seat backrest (1) from seat frame (7)
11	Install in the reverse order
