Remove/install powertrain control unit - AR07.08-P-0002NKE

ENGINE 780 in MODEL 242

NOTES Information on preventing damage to electronic components due to electrostatic discharge   AH54.00-P-0001-01A
REMOVINGINSTALLING Remove/install     
1 Connect diagnostic system and read off basic data for powertrain control unit (N127) and temporarily store When replacing the powertrain control unit (N127).  
REFER TO SELF-DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEMS     AD00.00-P-2000-04A
    INSTALLATION IMPORTANT Transfer the temporarily stored basic data to the new powertrain control unit (N127).
IMPORTANT Temporary storage is started over the menu item "Commissioning".
 
2 Remove paneling (1) in left driver side footwell   AR68.30-P-4010NKB
3 Remove driver kneebag ENGINE 780 in MODEL 242
with CODE 294 (Kneebag)
 
      AR91.60-P-0200NKB
4 Remove door sill at front left (2) driver side   AR68.30-P-4100NKB
5 Unclip electrical wiring harness (3)    
6 Remove screw/bolt (4) from bracket (5)    
7 Remove bracket (5) from guide and lay downwards INSTALLATION IMPORTANT Pay attention to correct seat of bracket (5).  
8 Release and disconnect electrical connections (6)    
9 Remove powertrain control unit (N127) from bracket (5) IMPORTANT To do this lift the bracket (5) in the center area (arrows) and push out of the powertrain control unit (N127).  
10 Install in the reverse order
