	Remove/install

2	Remove left or right charge air line upstream of charge air cooler (1) at ATL	Engine 279 in model 231 Engine 279 in model 463

3	Remove left or right charge air cooler and place with attached lines to one side	Engine 279 in model 231 Engine 279 in model 463

4	Remove screw/bolts (2) and remove heat shield (3)	On the appropriate side.
		Screw/bolt for ignition coil heat shield	*BA15.10-P-1002-04C
5	Disconnect electrical connection (4) at the respective ignition coil (T1/1 to T1/12)
6	Remove screw/bolts (5) at the respective ignition coil (T1/1 to T1/12)	Screw/bolt, ignition coil to cylinder head cover	*BA15.10-P-1001-04C
7	Detach the respective ignition coil (T1/1 to T1/12) upwards and remove
8	Detach the respective ignition coil (T1/1 to T1/12) upwards and remove	To reduce the force required for plugging/unplugging the spark plug connector grease must be applied before installation of the spark plug connector. The spark plug connector will be damaged otherwise during renewed removal. Apply about 1 g of spark plug connector grease in the spark plug connector.

	Check
9	Check the respective ignition coil (T1/1 to T1/12) with spark plug connector for damage and replace if necessary
10	Install in the reverse order
11	Read out fault memory using the diagnostic system and clear if necessary
