Remove/install Distronic sensor (DTR) - AR30.30-P-1010EL

MODEL 172, 218 with CODE (233) Distronic Plus

REMOVINGINSTALLING Remove/install     
NOTES Information on preventing damage to electronic components due to electrostatic discharge   AH54.00-P-0001-01A
1 Switch off ignition and remove transmitter key or KEYLESS-GO start/stop button from electronic ignition lock control unit IMPORTANT KEYLESS-GO start/stop button only on vehicles with code (889) Keyless-Go.  
2 Remove middle reinforcement at the front Model 218
IMPORTANT Do not remove the hood latches.
If necessary, detach the electrical connectors from the hood latch.

3 Remove cooler air ducting Model 218 with engine 642 AR20.20-P-3865-10EL
4 Remove front bumper Model 172 AR88.20-P-2000W
5 Unlock and disconnect electrical connector (1) from DISTRONIC electric controller unit (A89)    
6 Unscrew nuts (2) and remove DISTRONIC electric controller unit (A89) from bracket    
7 Install in the reverse order    
8 Connect Star Diagnosis and perform initialization and calibration of DISTRONIC electric controller unit (A89) When installing a new DISTRONIC electric controller unit (A89). AD00.00-P-2000-04A
9 Read out fault memory and erase if necessary   AD00.00-P-2000-04A
