Remove/install a pressure sensor - AR07.04-P-0050MT

ENGINE 133 in MODEL 117, 156, 176

DANGER Risk of explosion  caused by fuel igniting, risk of poisoning caused by inhaling and swallowing fuel as well as risk of injury to eyes and skin caused by contact with fuel. No fires, sparks, open flames or smoking. Pour fuels into suitable and appropriately marked containers only.
Wear protective clothing when handling fuel.

REMOVINGINSTALLING Remove/install     
1 Switch off ignition    
2 Detach ground line from battery   AR54.10-P-0003NKB
3 Remove front engine cover (1)    
4 Unclip purge lines at bracket for the coolant expansion reservoir from low-temperature circuit and place to one side ENGINE 133 in MODEL 117, 156, 176
NOTES Do not bend the purge lines too strongly. These can break and must be replaced otherwise.
 
5 Detach partial load purge valve at bracket of the low-temperature circuit coolant expansion reservoir ENGINE 133 in MODEL 117, 156, 176
IMPORTANT Check retaining rubber from partial load purge valve for damage and replace if necessary.
 
6 Detach coolant expansion reservoir for low-temperature circuit with bracket from cylinder head cover and place to one side with attached lines ENGINE 133 in MODEL 117, 156, 176

7 Disconnect electrical connection (2) on pressure and fuel temperature sensor (B4/25)    
CLEAN Clean     
8 Clean rail (3) in the area of the fuel pressure and temperature sensor (B4/25) Assembly cleaner *BR00.45-Z-1028-04A 
9 Remove pressure and fuel temperature sensor (B4/25) from rail (3)   AR07.03-P-1460-02MM
IMPORTANT Absolutely ensure to observe procedure in the referenced document for dissipating the fuel pressure.
INSTALLATION IMPORTANT The fuel pressure and temperature sensor (B4/25) must be replaced after every disassembly.
 
TORQUE SPECIFICATION Pressure and temperature sensor to fuel distributor *BA07.04-P-1001-01N 
10 Install in the reverse order    
11 Read out fault memory using the diagnostic system and delete    
REFER TO SELF-DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEMS     AD00.00-P-2000-04A
DANGER Risk of accident  from vehicle starting off by itself when engine running. Risk of injury  (bruises and burns) resulting from working on the engine while it is being started or when it is running. Secure vehicle to prevent it from starting off by itself. Wear closed and snug-fitting work clothes. Do not touch hot or rotating parts. AS00.00-Z-0005-01A
12 Check fuel system for leaks with engine running
