ENGINES 651.955/957 in MODEL 906
with CODE (XZ1) Model generation 1
with CODE (MZ0) Blue EFFICIENCY
Location
Shown on engine 651.955
The intake manifold pressure sensor is located on the air filter housing next to the hot film MAF sensor.
Task
The intake manifold pressure sensor detects the vacuum (absolute pressure) in the intake tract and transmits the change in resistance to the CDI control unit (N3/28).
Input and output signals
Direct output signals
- Change in resistance at the CDI control unit
Function
The air pressure in the air filter distorts a measurement membrane with stretch resistors. The subsequent change in resistance results in a voltage which is used by the CDI control unit for determining the air pressure in the intake manifold.
