The boost pressure sensor is located on the left on the engine downstream of the throttle valve actuator.

Task 

The boost pressure sensor detects the charge air pressure (absolute pressure) downstream of the throttle valve actuator and transmits the change in resistance to the CDI control unit (N3/28).

Function 

The charge air pressure distorts a measurement membrane with stretch resistors. The change in resistance results in a voltage which is used by the CDI control unit for charge pressure determination.
