Remove/install Distronic sensor (DTR) - AR30.30-P-1010GQ

MODEL 166.0 with CODE 233 (DISTRONIC PLUS)

REMOVINGINSTALLING Remove/install     
NOTES Information on preventing damage to electronic components due to electrostatic discharge   AH54.00-P-0001-01A
1 Switch off ignition    
2 Remove radiator grille   AR88.40-P-4001GQ
3 Unlock and detach electrical connector (1) on DISTRONIC electric controller unit (A89)    
4 Unscrew nuts (2, 4 pieces) and remove DISTRONIC electric controller unit (A89) from strut (3) IMPORTANT The Distronic sensor is integrated into the DISTRONIC electric controller unit (A89) and can only be removed together with this.  
5 Install in the reverse order    
6 Perform initialization of DISTRONIC electric controller unit (A89) with STAR DIAGNOSIS    
REFER TO SELF-DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEMS     AD00.00-P-2000-04A
    IMPORTANT initialization is necessary after:
  • Replacement of or detachment/attachment of the DISTRONIC electric controller unit (A89)
  • Replacement of steering column tube module control unit (N80)
  • Replacement of yaw rate sensor for lateral and longitudinal acceleration (B24/15)
  • Mechanical damage to the DISTRONIC electric controller unit (A89)
  • Accident repair in front area
  • Alterations on the camber, track width, caster or of the level of the vehicle at the front or rear axle
 
7 Perform calibration with STAR DIAGNOSIS When replacing the DISTRONIC electric controller unit (A89)  
8 Read out fault memory, delete and remove STAR DIAGNOSIS
