• Status "Circuit 30 ON" or "Circuit 15 ON"
• Cockpit Management and Data System (COMAND) authorized and working correctly
• COMAND control unit (A40/3) activated over the "ON" button (A40/9s6) on the front central operating unit (A40/9)

General 

The Cockpit Management and Data System (COMAND) encompasses the entertainment, communication and information system in the vehicle.

The COMAND controller unit contains the following subfunctions :

• COMAND switch-on/switch-off characteristics, function 
• Volume/tone settings, function 
• Voice control, function 
• TV-mode, function 
• Navigation mode, function 
• Telephone operation, function 
• Audio mode, function 
• Video mode, function 
• Electronic Toll Collection System (ETC), function 

The displays and menu presentations for the COMAND display (A40/8) are generated in the COMAND controller unit. Relevant displays are also shown in the instrument cluster (A1).
