Location
The all-wheel drive low range button is located to the left of the steering wheel.
Task
The all-wheel drive low range button is used to disengage/engage the gear reduction when the vehicle is stationary. The resistance-coded button signal is received by the all-wheel drive control unit (N133).
If the gear reduction is engaged, the LOW RANGE indicator lamp (A1e37) in the instrument cluster (A1) flashes until the engagement procedure has been completed. The LOW RANGE indicator lamp then remains lit.
If engagement of the gear reduction is not possible, the LOW RANGE indicator lamp flashes three times.
On vehicles with code (ZG3) Gear reduction for all-wheel drive, the gear reduction can only be engaged if the all-wheel drive is engaged.
