CAUSE / EXPLANATION

Check engine light comes on and vehicle goes into limp home. Fault code P15FF00 "The signal line of component 'B28/20 (Diesel particulate filter differential pressure sensor)' has a short circuit to ground."

ACTION

Check the following:

Perform Key on Engine off; actual value of differential pressure sensor - 0hpa
Perform Key on Engine idle; actual value of differential pressure sensor - <16hpa
Hoses and wire connection of B28/20
Part number of sensor B28/20 via VIN number
Verify 5 volt reference on the sensor connector
Inspect / guided test for EGR valve / EGR cooler
Check intake and Charge air systems for leaks

If no faults are identified then open a PTSS case and provide all test results. Ensure to include the "Development Data" printout from the CDI control module.
