The transfer case absolute sensor is screwed into the rear housing half of the transfer case on the left in the direction of travel.

Task 

The transfer case absolute sensor registers the position of the "High/Low" shift fork in the transfer case and forwards the information to the transfer case control unit (N15/7).

Design 

The transfer case absolute sensor is a turning angle sensor.
