Electrically adjustable steering column, general 

The electrically adjustable steering column permits the following partial functions which are described separately:

• Adjust/save steering column 
• Easy entry/exit, steering column adjustment 

Normalization of the steering column is important for the limitation of the adjustment range. For normalization of the steering column the respective limit stops of the steering column adjustment are approached and the count status of the Hall sensor signals stored as a normalizing position.
