	Remove, install
	Risk of death  caused by contact with parts conducting high voltages.	Do not touch parts which conduct high voltages. Persons who wear electronic implants (e.g. heart pacemakers) should never perform any work on the ignition system.	AS15.10-Z-0001-01A

1	Switch ignition off, remove ignition key (transmitter key).	On vehicles with code 889 Keyless Go: Press keyless go start/stop button repeatedly until the ignition is switched off. Remove the Keyless Go transmitter card or transmitter key from the vehicle and store beyond the reach of the transmitter (min. 2 m).
2	Remove air filter housing		AR09.10-P-1150TS
3	Unscrew bolts (1) for ignition coils for cylinder 1 to cylinder 6 or 8 (T1/1 up to T1/6 and T1/8)		*BA15.10-P-1001-04A
4	Disconnect electrical connectors at ignition coils for cylinder 1 to cylinder 6 or 8 (T1/1 to T1/6 and T1/8)
5	Pull ignition coils for cylinder 1 to cylinder 6 or 8 (T1/1 to T1/6 and T1/8) upwards and out
6	Pull out ignition coil connector
7	Dismount spark plug connector	Engine 272.985	AR15.12-P-1010-01TX
	Check
8	Check spark plug connector, ignition coil connector and ignition line	Check for damage, deformation and the formation of cracks and replace if necessary.
9	Install in the reverse order
10	Check that the ignition line is routed correctly	Engine 272.985	AR15.12-P-1010-01TX
11	Read out fault memory	STAR DIAGNOSIS, diagnosis system	*WH58.30-Z-1048-13A
	Connect STAR DIAGNOSIS and read out fault memory		AD00.00-P-2000-04A
