• Status "Circuit 30 ON" or "Circuit 15 ON"
• Cockpit Management and Data System (COMMAND) authorized and working correctly
• COMMAND control unit (A40/3) activated over the "ON" button (A40/9s6) on the front central operating unit (A40/9)

General 

The Cockpit Management and Data System (COMMAND) encompasses the entertainment, communication and information system in the vehicle.

The COMMAND controller unit contains the following subfunctions, which are described in separate documents:

• COMMAND switch-on/switch-off characteristics, function 
• Volume/tone settings, function 
• Voice control, function 
• TV-mode, function 
• Navigation mode, function 
• Telephone operation, function 
• Audio mode, function 
• Video mode, function 
• Electronic Toll Collection System (ETC), function 

The displays and menu presentations for the COMMAND display (A40/8) are generated in the COMMAND controller unit. Relevant displays are also shown in the instrument cluster (A1).
