The K2 clutch control solenoid valve (VGS) is actuated by the fully integrated transmission control (VGS) control unit and influences the position of the K2. regulating valve. The pressure in the K2 multi-disk clutch depends on the position of the regulating valve and thus on the geometry of the K2 regulating valve. The K2 clutch control solenoid valve (VGS) has a lowering characteristic. This means that the oil pressure applied in the regulating valve K2 reduces as the actuation current increases. In limp-home mode of the fully integrated transmission control (VGS) all the control solenoid valves are de-energized. The K2 clutch control solenoid valve (VGS) thus supplies maximum pressure.

Body

In the K2 clutch control solenoid valve (VGS) a proportional solenoid converts the electrical signals from the fully integrated transmission control (VGS) control unit (Y3/8n4). The float needle can also be moved into intermediate positions as a result.

Function

The K2 clutch control solenoid valve (VGS) assigns a proportional pressure to the current which is controlled by the fully integrated transmission control (VGS) control unit.
