Location
The CDI control unit is built into the engine compartment at the left in front of the windshield.
Task
The tasks of the CDI control unit are subdivided into the following partial tasks:
- Controlling of the common rail diesel injection (CDI) function
- Input and output signals
Control of CDI function
The CDI control unit actuates the CDI functions:
- Fuel supply
- Glow functions
- Injection control
- Exhaust gas cleaning
- Boost pressure control
- Refrigerant compressor switch-off (A9)
- Shutoff control
The CDI control unit is equipped with a fault memory, which can be read out via STAR DIAGNOSIS.
