The internal speed sensor (VGS) (Y3/8n2) records the internal transmission speed at the ring gear of the front single planetary gear system for the fully integrated transmission control (VGS).

This rotational speed is processed by the fully integrated transmission control (VGS) control unit (Y3/8n4) as an input signal together with the information from the turbine speed sensor (VGS) (Y3/8n1) and the output speed sensor (VGS) (Y3/8n3). This contributes to shortening the reaction time during shift operations.
