| 1 | Remove left or right front seat | AR91.10-P-1000SX | |
| 2 | Remove rear passenger compartment side trim panel | AR68.30-P-4780SXS | |
| 3 | Connect ground line to starter battery and to on-board electrical system battery | AR54.10-P-0003SX | |
| 4 | Remove vent grille (1) | ||
| 5 | Pull rear floor covering (3) under the trim on the B-pillar and release in the area of the rear seat, then fold back the rear floor covering (3) as far as possible | ||
| 6 | Remove cover from cable duct (4) | ||
| 7 | Raise cable duct (4) and undo screw (5) on left sidebag and windowbag sensor (A53/1) or on the right sidebag and windowbag sensor (A54/1) | *BA91.60-P-1005-01L | |
| 8 | Detach electrical connector (6) and remove left sidebag and windowbag sensor (A53/1) or right sidebag and windowbag sensor (A54/1) | ||
| 9 | Install in the reverse order | ||
| 10.1 | Check supplemental restraint system (SRS) with STAR DIAGNOSIS | After replacing the left sidebag and windowbag sensor (A53/1) or right sidebag and windowbag sensor (A54/1). | |
| Connect STAR DIAGNOSIS and read out fault memory | AD00.00-P-2000-04A |
