Function 

By folding down the rear head restraints, the driver is able to create unimpeded visibility through the rear window as needed.

Depending on the equipment, there are various possibilities to retract the rear head restraints.

On vehicles without code (223) Rear bench seat with electrically adjustable outer seats, lumbar support and pneumatically raisable head restraints:

• Folding down all rear head restraints via the head restraint folding button (A40/9s9) in the front central operating unit (A40/9)

On vehicles with code (223) Rear bench seat with electrically adjustable outer seats, lumbar support and pneumatically raisable head restraints:

• Folding down all rear head restraints on rear seats that are not occupied
  • via the head restraint folding button in the front central operating unit
  • when engaging the reverse gear

• RAISE
  • the two outer rear head restraints via the head restraint folding button in the front central operating unit
  • the left head restraint via
    • the head restraint adjustment switch (S55/1s1)
    • the left rear seat belt buckle switch (S68/11)
  • the right head restraint via
    • the head restraint adjustment switch (S55/2s1)
    • the right rear seat belt buckle switch (S68/12)
