The sidebag units are located in the lateral supports of the rear seats.
Task
In the event of a side impact and a vehicle rollover in the area of the C-pillar, the rear sidebag units protect the rear outboard passengers from injury.
Triggering is conducted by the restraint systems control unit (N2/7) igniting each of the squibs.
