Function

The multicontour seats (MCS) can be adjusted individually. The individual adjustment of the contour and the surface hardness of the backrest and of the seat cushion is made possible by filling and purging the particular air cushions.

Front seats

The individual functions can be configured menu-assisted over the front central operating unit (A40/9) and shown on the COMAND display (A40/8).

On model 221 with code (275) Memory package (driver seat, steering column, mirrors) and on model 216, the current settings of the front seats can be stored or called up. Additionally, the setting of the steering column and the outside mirrors is stored on the driver-side.

Rear seats (model 221 only)

The individual functions can be manually configured via the RCP [HBF] control unit (N72/2). Part of the equipment is also the massage function, which prevents tensions in the back during long trips.

On vehicles with code (276) Memory in rear, the current seat settings can be stored or called up.

PRE-SAFE

In critical situations, the air cushions in the side areas are inflated before the imminent accident in order to provide a favorable seat position and to secure the occupants in their position.
