Location

The left switch group and right switch group are located in the respective door panels.

Design of left switch group

The following switches are located in the left switch group:

head restraint adjustment switch (S22s1)
seat cushion fore/aft switch (S22s2)
fore/aft, height and inclination adjustment switch (S22s3)
backrest switch (S22s5)
With code (401) Front deluxe seats, incl. seat heating and seat ventilation:
seat ventilation switch (S22s11)

On model 221 with code (275) Memory package (driver seat, steering column, mirrors) or on model 216:

Memory switch (S23s6)
Memory 1 switch (S23s7)
Memory 2 switch (S23s8)
Memory 3 switch (S23s9)
Left or right seat adjustment selection switch (S23s10) (right-hand drive vehicle only)

On model 221 with code (401) Front comfort seats, incl. seat heating and seat ventilation or code (873) Right and left front seat heaters or on model 216:

Function

When the switch group is actuated, the adjustment requests are transmitted via the front door LIN to the

left front door control unit (N69/1) (on model 221) or left door control unit (N69/1) (on model 216) or
right front door control unit (N69/2) (on model 221) or right door control unit (N69/2) (on model 216) and forwarded to the interior CAN.
