Function 

By folding down the rear head restraints, the driver is able to create unimpeded visibility through the rear window as needed.

When the head restraint folding button in the front central operating unit is pushed forwards, the rear SAM control unit receives the message for folding down the rear head restraints via the interior CAN.

The rear SAM control unit forwards this message to the rear head restraints valve block and to the lumbar pump or pneumatic pump. The head restraints are unlocked pneumatically via the head restraint mechanism and folded to the rear and down via a lever linkage.
