Location (model 221)

The power window motors are located on the inner door panel of the door in question.

Location (model 216)

The front power window motors are located on the inner door panel of the corresponding door and the rear power window motors are located in the inner side of the side wall behind the door entrance panel area.

Task

The power window motors serve for opening and closing the front and rear side windows.

Position detection

The position counter in the corresponding door control unit (N69/1, N69/2, N69/3, N69/4) (model 221) or left door control unit (N69/1), right door control unit (N69/2) and rear control unit (N22/6) (model 216) evaluates the signals of the Hall sensors for the power window motors. Depending on the actuation direction, the counter is increased when "opening" and correspondingly decreased when "closing". The zero position is set by normalization.

Direction recognition

The running direction is recognized by evaluating the signals of the two Hall sensors which are located offset 90° on each power window motor shaft. Each edge of the Hall sensors is evaluated for rotation recognition.
