Design
The electric controller unit (VGS) (Y3/8) consists of a plastic supporting body in which the following electrical components are combined:
- Turbine speed sensor (VGS) (Y3/8n1)
- Internal speed sensor (VGS) (Y3/8n2)
- Output speed sensor (VGS) (Y3/8n3)
- Fully integrated transmission control (VGS) control unit (Y3/8n4) with integrated transmission oil temperature sensor (VGS) (Y3/8s2)
- Selection range sensor (VGS) (Y3/8s1)
- Working pressure control solenoid valve (VGS) (Y3/8y1)
- Clutch control solenoid valve K1 (VGS) (Y3/8y2)
- Clutch control solenoid valve K2 (VGS) (Y3/8y3)
- Clutch control solenoid valve K3 (VGS) (Y3/8y4)
- Brake control solenoid valve B1 (VGS) (Y3/8y5)
- Brake control solenoid valve B2 (VGS) (Y3/8y6)
- Brake control solenoid valve B3 (VGS) (Y3/8y7)
- Torque converter lockup clutch control solenoid valve (VGS) (Y3/8y8)
The printed-conductor foil which is inserted in the supporting body makes the connection between the electrical components and a plug socket (11).
The connection to the cable set on the vehicle side is made with a bayonet lock via the plug socket (11).
Apart from the solenoid valves all the other electrical components are permanently connected to the printed-conductor foil.
