	Remove/install
	Risk of death caused by vehicle slipping or toppling off the lifting platform	Align vehicle between the columns of the lifting platform and position the four support plates at the lifting platform support points specified by the vehicle manufacturer.	AS00.00-Z-0010-01A
	Risk of explosion caused by oxyhydrogen gas. Risk of poisoning and caustic burns caused by swallowing battery acid. Risk of injury caused by burns to skin and eyes from battery acid or when handling damaged lead-acid batteries	No fire, sparks, open flames or smoking. Wear acid-resistant gloves, clothing and glasses. Only pour battery acid into suitable and appropriately marked containers.	AS54.10-Z-0001-01A

6	Detach electrical line circuit 30 (1)	To do this, pull off contact protection.
6	Detach electrical line circuit 30 (1)	Nut for connection circuit 30	*BA15.30-P-1001-01N
7	Detach electrical line circuit 50 (2)	Nut for connection circuit 50	*BA15.30-P-1002-01N
8	Remove shield	Shield on starter	*BA15.30-P-1004-01N
9	Remove bolt on engine mount heat shield	Bolt, engine mount to front engine support	*BA22.10-P-1001-03A
10	Remove bolts (4)	Bolt, starter to cylinder crankcase	*BA15.30-P-1003-01N
11	Remove starter (M1) from below
12	Check ring gear for wear and check for damage	Rotate engine at crankshaft in direction of rotation.
13	Install in the reverse order
14	Carry out function check
15	Perform basic programming		AR00.19-P-0200T
16	Read out fault memory
	Connect STAR DIAGNOSIS and read out fault memory		AD00.00-P-2000-04A
	Connect STAR DIAGNOSIS and read out fault memory	STAR DIAGNOSIS diagnosis system	AD00.00-P-2000-04A
