For checking riding height specifications. See FRONT RIDING HEIGHT SPECIFICATIONS  and REAR RIDING HEIGHT SPECIFICATIONS  tables. If front riding height is not within specification, repair or replace suspension components as necessary. See ADJUSTING RIDING HEIGHT  .

  1. Prepare for chassis alignment check. See PREPARATION FOR RIDING HEIGHT ADJUSTMENT  .
  2. Check vehicle level at the front axle via cross strut inclination. See Figure .
  3. Prepare for use of Electronic Clinometer (CM 9606). See Figure . Clean measurement points on cross strut.
  4. The sensor connecting cable (086b) of the measuring sensor (086a) must point towards the center of the vehicle, otherwise there will be measurement inaccuracies.

    • Measuring point 1 (left front).
    • Measuring point 2 (right front).
  6. Check riding height specifications. See FRONT RIDING HEIGHT SPECIFICATIONS  table. If the front riding height is outside of specification, replace the rubber spring bushings or springs to adjust the vehicle riding height. See ADJUSTING RIDING HEIGHT  .
