Headlamp actuation, function
Operating procedure
Basic conditions:
- The transmitter key (A8/1) in the electronic ignition switch of the electronic ignition switch control module (N73) is set to position 2 "circuit 15 ON".
- The electronic ignition switch control module (N73) actuates over the CAN interior the rear SAM control module with fuse and relay module (N10/2) with the "circuit 15 ON" signal.
- The gearshift lever is set to stage "R".
- The automated manual transmission control module (N15/6) actuates the electronic ignition switch control module (N73) over the CAN interior with the "reverse gear ON" signal.
- The electronic ignition switch control module (N73) sends the signal over the CAN interior to the rear SAM control module with fuse and relay module (N10/2).
- The rear SAM control module with fuse and relay module actuates the backup lamps (E3e3 and E4e3) in the left taillamp (E3) and right taillamp (E4).
- For a trailer hitch the "backup lamp ON" signal is also sent over the CAN interior to the trailer recognition control module (N28/1) and voltage applied to the trailer backup lamps to the trailer hitch socket, 13-pin (X58).
